As the fashion week came to a finish, we chart some of the best looks from Day 5. Presenting the grand finale!
Day 5 of Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI saw some expected and some unexpectedly surprising and whimsical looks. The beauty trends were a combination of two approaches –simple, minimal and chic; and wild, dramatic and experimental. From bold smoked-out kohl-rimmed eyes to no-makeup makeup, the runways had many glam moments!

Pearl Academy students used innovative techniques in their collection, ‘Gender me good’. The stunning looks in flowy textures and adornments saw a variety of hairstyles in intriguing headgears, half-up half-down, braided and tied up ponytail looks. The makeup had dramatic winged liners, eye embellishments and light lip hues.
Simplicity was the key at Varun Chakillam’s show. The models strutted down in gorgeous light pastel printed lehengas with sequins and frills. The makeup was kept minimal and hair tied back in boxer braids.
Dia Mirza made a grand entry on the ramp adorning a stunning Banarasi kadwa saree by Taneira in rustic gold and red colours. She was the epitome of charm and elegance and looked breathtaking in simple, neutral-toned makeup and a textured bun.
Lara Dutta looked stunning as she sashayed down the ramp in an off-white Sanjukta Dutta ensemble. Her hair was kept loose and wavy and dramatic kohl-rimmed eyes and bold red lips completed the look.
Heena Khan dazzled on the ramp in a navy blue and gold lehenga from Abhishek and Vinita’s Tatwamm collection. She looked every bit a goddess in a gold nose ring and flowy cascading locks. Her makeup was simple with blush as the main highlight.
Divya Khosla Kumar looked ravishing in a dusty gold and ivory lehenga by designers Shaveta and Anuj. Her bob cut looked particularly cute and charming. The makeup was a monochromatic pink look on her cheeks, eyes and lips.
Actress Aahana Kumra looked pretty in a coral anarkali gown for designer Gazal Mishra. She wore her hair in crunched curls with a maang tikka. Her makeup was simple and flushed with coral hues that complemented the look.
The Lakme Fashion Week ended on a high note with Ruchika Sachdeva’s closing show. Ananya Panday looked stunning in the bodice outfit. Her hair was kept sleek and chic and makeup looked bold in striking red lips and blush.
